Journey's End Animal Sanctuary provides lifetime care and shelter for dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep, and birds that have been abused, neglected or have special needs. Rather than emphasizing adoption, Journey's End provides a homelike setting where animals can enjoy the remainder of their lives in a comfortable, loving atmosphere.

Using found objects from her junkyard, now her American Folk Art Museum, Proctor crafts three-dimensional assembled works from buttons, mirrors, jewelry and other trinkets. Some works are inspired by bible scriptures and others by memories of her grandmother or childhood, and most include written messages of spiritual truths or life lessons.
Proctor is the recipient of numerous Best in Show awards and has exhibited nationally at galleries, festivals and in visiting and permanent collections in museums including the Museum of African American Art in Tampa, the Mennello Museum of American Art in Orlando, the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee, the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, and at the House of Blues in Orlando, Chicago and New Orleans.

In the early 1950’s through the 1980’s a group of twenty-six African-American artists known as the "Florida Highwaymen" used vivid and bright colors to display the beautiful untouched Florida landscape. The Florida Highwaymen painted wind-bent palm trees, serene sunsets, churning oceans and bright red Poinciana trees. They painted from their garages and back yards on inexpensive Upson board and then on the weekends they would travel and sell their Highwaymen paintings to hotels, offices, businesses and individuals.

Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer based, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our brave men and women in uniform who are valiantly serving our nation in support of the War on Terror in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever we proudly raise the flag of the United States of America. We are proud to support our heroes in every way possible.

If you are starting to take down all your Christmas decorations and stuff, don’t throw away those Christmas Cards.  Instead of tossing them in the trash, donate them to St Jude’s!

Operated by Kids, Corp., a program for the children at St. Jude’s Ranch to learn entrepreneurship skills, the children participate in making the new cards by removing the front and attaching a new back. The result is a beautiful new card made by the children and volunteers. The benefits are two-fold: customers receive “green”holiday cards for use and the children receive payment for their work and learn the benefits and importance of “going green”.

The ongoing support for the Recycled Card Program has been overwhelming! The Program grew and soon we were receiving over one million cards. We have since redesigned the process to more efficiently manage the increased production from the increased volume and we welcome your submissions!
